About Saudi Stock Exchange
The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) was formally established as a corporate entity in March 2007, although Saudi share trading dates back to 1954. It is the sole securities exchange in Saudi Arabia and the largest stock market in the Middle East and Arab world by market capitalization. The exchange is the listing venue for Saudi Aramco, whose December 2019 IPO was at the time the world's largest by proceeds (approximately $25.6 billion). Tadawul was added to the FTSE and MSCI Emerging Markets indices in 2019, accelerating foreign investor flows. The TASI (Tadawul All Share Index) is the headline benchmark.
