Disclaimer

Important things to read before you act on anything you see on Funddata.

Last updated: 2026-05-06

§1Not investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice

Nothing on Funddata constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Quotes, fundamentals, ratings, news, sentiment scores, AI-generated commentary, scenario stress-test results, optimization output, factor screens, calendars, sovereign-yield curves, or any other element of the Service is informational only. Use of the Service does not create an advisor-client, broker-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Always consult an appropriately licensed advisor before acting on any information you find here.

§2No solicitation, no offer

Funddata does not solicit, offer, or recommend the purchase, sale, or holding of any security, currency, commodity, token, derivative, fund interest, structured product, or other financial instrument. Page rankings, screens, AI presets, and watchlist suggestions surface things you can inspect; they are not buy or sell recommendations and they are not personalised to your circumstances. The Service is available globally; not all content is lawful for you to act on in your jurisdiction — that is your responsibility.

§3Market data — delays, accuracy, completeness

Live quotes and trade ticks are delayed where the underlying provider so requires (typically 15 minutes for US equities on free tiers); they are intended for display only. Fundamentals, insider trades, ratings, news, sovereign-yield curves, macro series, and bond reference data come from third-party feeds and may contain errors, omissions, restatements, or stale records. Funddata does not warrant accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. Always verify against primary sources (issuer 10-K / 10-Q, central-bank releases, official statistical office publications) before relying on a number for a real-money decision.

§4AI analyst caveats

The Ask analyst uses Anthropic Claude with tool access to the Funddata database. Outputs are model-generated and may be wrong, biased, stale, or hallucinated even when grounded by real database queries. The analyst can misread numbers, fabricate citations, conflate symbols (e.g. share classes), or mis-state regulatory facts. Treat the analyst as a research assistant, not an oracle. Verify every numerical claim against the cited primary source before publishing or trading on it. Do not paste confidential or non-public information you are not authorised to share.

§5Hypothetical / backtested results

Backtests, scenario stress tests, optimizer frontier scans, hypothesis-rule firings, and any equity-curve chart rendered by Funddata are hypothetical. They use realised historical data plus stylised assumptions about transaction costs, slippage, financing rates, factor betas, and rebalance schedules. Hypothetical performance has many inherent limitations and is generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and the published Funddata backtest output should not be treated as a representation that any account will or is likely to achieve a similar profile.

§6Forward-looking statements

AI commentary, screens, prediction-market prices, and scenario panels may contain forward-looking statements — statements about future events, performance, or expectations. Forward-looking statements are inherently uncertain and rest on assumptions that may not hold. Treat them as scenarios, not forecasts. Funddata undertakes no obligation to update them.

§7Third-party content & links

The Service links to and embeds third-party content (news articles, official wires, prediction-market prices, EDGAR documents). Funddata does not endorse third-party content or its publishers and is not responsible for their accuracy, legality, or availability. When you follow a third-party link you leave Funddata and become subject to that party’s terms.

§8Conflicts of interest

Funddata is operated by albascape. We use the Service ourselves and may hold positions, long or short, directly or via funds, in some of the issuers covered. We do not pay or receive payments from issuers, brokers, advisors, or analysts in exchange for coverage, ranking, or favourable commentary. Specific positions are not disclosed cell-by-cell.

§9Jurisdictions, sanctions, and KYC

Use of Funddata is prohibited where prohibited by applicable law, including jurisdictions subject to comprehensive economic sanctions and to persons listed on government denial lists. Some content (e.g. specific data series, news feeds, broker-licensed material) may not be lawfully available to you in your jurisdiction or under your professional status (retail vs. professional vs. accredited investor); you are responsible for assessing this. We do not perform KYC / suitability checks for you.

§10No reliance, no guarantee

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Funddata, albascape, our contractors, and our data providers expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and uninterrupted availability.

§11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Funddata, albascape, nor our data providers will be liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including (without limitation) trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — regardless of theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility. The aggregate liability cap and dispute-resolution venue are set out in the Terms of use.

This disclaimer is a starting point and is not legal advice. Have qualified counsel review and adapt to your specific jurisdiction and regulator (e.g. SEC, FCA, BaFin, AMF, CONSOB, FINMA, MAS, ASIC) before publication.
